My background provides me a unique perspective on privately held businesses. Prior to becoming a banker, I worked in several family owned businesses including outdoor sporting goods and real estate. Seeing the world from the Borrower’s view helps me work closely with my clients to assist them in efficiently growing their companies.
After graduating from CSU Fullerton, I worked with a local real estate developer and learned all aspects of real estate development. I then moved to New York and ran a privately-held property management company that took me to most every state west of the Rockies where we implemented turn-around strategies on mismanaged properties – multifamily, office and retail. I returned to California to get my MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California and joined Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Industries group. After going through credit training, I joined the Commercial Banking team in San Diego and have been helping San Diego privately held companies grow ever since.
Over the years, I have been president of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and started their slogan “Where Deal Makers Meet” and I have enjoyed various roles on the Junior Achievement Board. I am currently involved on committees with the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp including the Economic Committee, and the Innovate 78 and Inclusive Growth initiatives and am active in Provisors and ACG.
