My professional experience has provided a strong foundation for my work in small business lending. I have experience in business advocacy, relationship building, commercial finance problem solving with a focus in government guaranteed lending. I also come from a family with several entrepreneurs, so I understand the challenges faced by small business owners.
I began my career at the U.S. Small Business Administration in Boise, Idaho. There I gained foundational experience in SBA lending programs and built a collaborative network of community stakeholders to further the growth of local small businesses.
In 2018, I transferred to the SBA Orange County/Inland Empire District Office where I continued to promote SBA programs and services as well as provide educational seminars on SBA loan policy. I served as a subject matter expert to the local commercial lending community for SBA 7(a), 504, community advantage, and international trade loans. After years of teaching lenders how to provide SBA lending, I moved into banking where I have expanded my expertise to include the California State Guaranty program and conventional finance.
I have been involved with several business growth organizations throughout the years. I led the Emerging Leaders program in Boise, ID as well as Orange County, CA. I worked with Boise State University to establish an educational program for hard cider companies, and I taught classes for high school Junior Achievement participants. I am currently active in the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) in Orange County. I am also a U.S. Navy Veteran and an active supporter of veteran organizations.
